Originally from Worcester in the West Midlands Emily has lived in Merseyside since 2012.

Her NHS practice is based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, and she is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool.

She have clinical interests in respiratory intervention in lung cancer, integrated care and respiratory physiology and airways disease within sports medicine. 

Emily sees individuals with a range of respiratory problems such as cough, asthma, COPD, breathlessness and bronchiectasis.

She is proficient in doing diagnostic bronchoscopy and more specialised respiratory intervention. 

With regards to respiratory sports physiology, Emily works closely with Exercise Respiratory Physiologists in assessing respiratory function in athletes and high-performance sports people. She. provides a wide variety of specialist diagnostic tests, specialist assessment and advise on optimal treatments.

After training posts in General Medicine, Dr Nazareth further specialised in Respiratory Medicine in Merseyside.

In addition to his routine clinical training, he spent 2 years as a Clinical and Research Fellow at the prestigious Adult CF Unit at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, which is among the largest CF units in the country. During this time, he carried out research into Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes, and completed his MD thesis through the University of Liverpool.

Following completion of his training, he worked as a Consultant in CF, Respiratory and General medicine at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the South-West of England, prior to relocating back to Merseyside.

His NHS Practice as a Respiratory Consultant is at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Institute of Infection and Global Health at the University of Liverpool.

He has led and completed several research studies leading to substantial publications and changes in clinical practice. He has published several articles in the areas of CF and non-CF bronchiectasis. These publications have been published in a wide variety of high-quality peer review journals including the European Respiratory Journal, Journal of CF and Chest.

 His clinical interests are in chronic respiratory disease and outside of the NHS setting, sees individuals with a range of chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, recurrent chest infections etc. Services such as spirometry are also offered.
